SXSW Interactive festival takes place March 9-18, 2009, and is gearing up and one of the panels I submitted on MobileActive's behalf is up for approval. I encourage you all to visit the the online interface for Round Two of panel proposals for the 2007 SXSW Interactive Festival and VOTE FOR the "MobileActive: Mobilizing The Masses WIth Mobile Technology" panel which can found under the categories "politics / social activism" and "wireless / digital convergence."

The MobileActive panel will feature some of the best and brightest minds in the newly blossoming arena of mobile technology and politics. And by "actvism" we just don't mean political. This panel will explore what it takes to use mobile technology to truly "mobilize" the masses around a cause, idea, candidate or even brand. The panel will be a great opportunity to meet some of the industries major players and learn from their failures and success' in the technology that promises to be and already is the next big thing in social activism and political campaigns around the world.
