From Wikipedia:

It recently rose to international fame due to the "Hello Garci" ringtones that the group hosted on their website. The ringtone contained parts of the controversial "Hello Garci" conversations between Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Elections Commissioner Virgilio "Garci" Garcillano. Due to the high demand for the ringtone as a form of protest, the TXTPower website lodged more than 500,000 hits and downloads in one month (June 17-July 17, 2005).

Formed in 2001, TXTPower has figured in high-profile campaigns against abuses of Philippine mobile phone service providers, against state intrusions to the privacy of communications and against proposed new taxes to be slapped on mobile phone use, specifically on texting or SMS.
